She was half-asleep, staring at the ceiling of her dark apartment. No notifications. No missed calls. Just one new message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unknown Number:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t turn around.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her heart skipped. She slowly sat up in bed, staring at the glowing screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She lived alone. Always had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trying to calm herself, Emma typed back:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
